CAKE x adidas x Footasylum

Bringing two trends together for the launch of the new adidas Originals Polka collection.

We love a creative brief, especially when it gives us the opportunity to make something a little different.

When adidas approached us to create a bespoke treat for their collaboration with Footasylum, celebrating the launch of the new adidas Originals Polka collection, we couldn't wait to get started.

With the collection featuring two gorgeous colourways, burgundy and blue, we wanted to create something fun, playful and completely unique that would bring the launch to life and give customers a little something special to enjoy.

Two Trends, One Sweet Idea

Dot cakes have been having a viral moment online recently, and we loved the idea of bringing this trend together with the new adidas Polka collection.

Rather than creating a traditional celebration cake, we wanted something that felt like a little gift. A treat that was individually packaged, instantly recognisable and perfectly in keeping with the collection's playful aesthetic.

We took inspiration from the burgundy and blue colourways, combining them with the polka dot trend to create two coordinating designs.

The result? Our very own little tubs of CAKE, created exclusively for the launch.

Bringing the Details Together

As with every bespoke project, the little details were just as important as the cakes themselves.

We worked closely with some of our favourite suppliers to source custom-branded tubs and toppers, bringing the adidas and Footasylum branding into the finished design.

Inside each tub was our classic vanilla sponge, layered with our signature buttercream and finished with coordinating sprinkles to match the burgundy and blue colourways.

Every single cake was handmade by our team, from baking and assembling to decorating, packaging and delivery.

We loved seeing all the individual elements come together, transforming a simple idea into something that felt completely bespoke to the collaboration.

Made for the Moment

One of our favourite things about corporate projects is the opportunity to create something that goes beyond a traditional branded product.

For this launch, it was all about giving customers a fun, memorable treat that connected with the collection and added a little extra excitement to the occasion.

Seeing the finished tubs lined up in their matching colours was such a lovely moment for our team, and we were delighted with the positive feedback the project received.
